Threat Level Rainbow
THREAT LEVEL RAINBOW
(Parody of “The Rainbow Connection” by Kermit the Frog)
Hey, kids. Johnny Walker here. This is a song about the colors of the rainbow… in the homeland security threat level system.
The first color, green, means there’s no threat of terror. And, guess what? It’s never been used.
The next threat level is a general risk. So, be generally terrified when it’s blue.
And then there’s yellow and that’s elevated. So, look for explosives in shoes.
Orange is high, so buy plastic and duct tape. And, red means we’re all really screwed.
So, those are the colors in the rainbow of terror. They tell us what’s happenin’ outside.
Rainbows are also in cereal boxes or they give us a sense of gay pride.
Perhaps some day we can look at a rainbow without feeling so afraid.
And then when the storm cloud of terror is past us, rainbows will make us feel gay.
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.
